Work History

Glen D. Duvel, Esq. is currently the Owner of Duvel Law, APC.  Prior to that he was a Partner with Geller | Conrad | Duvel, LLP, and prior to that, Mr. Duvel was a Partner with Duvel & Duvel, Inc.  Under his direction, the firm represented clients in business, estate planning and personal injury matters. Prior to the formation of the Law Offices of Glen D. Duvel, Inc., Mr. Duvel worked at the Law Office of Walter R. Zech, Inc., a firm which focused its practice on high-end personal injury law. Mr. Duvel has balanced a full-time career as an attorney with college level teaching. He has taught pre-law courses on the subjects of wills and trusts.

Legal Experience

Since 2000, Mr. Duvel has focused his practice on Labor & Employment Law, Business Law/Civil Litigation, Personal Injury Law and Estate Planning.

During his career, he has counseled a myriad of clients with a variety of estate planning needs, acquiring a vast amount of experience from matters involving a simple Will to those involving a complex estate plan. Mr. Duvel is substantially equipped to handle matters such as Wills and guardianships, Trusts including A/B Trusts and special needs Trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and deed transfers.

He has also represented numerous clients in all types of employment-related matters. He has obtained successful resolutions, including favorable settlements and trial verdicts, in numerous class actions and cases involving individual wage & hour disputes, wrongful terminations, discrimination & retaliation, contract disputes, among others. He has counseled clients in the drafting of employment contracts and severance agreements and assisted employers in the development of company policies and other corporate documents. He has also represented business clients in claims pertaining to trade secrets, non-compete clauses, breaches of contracts, injunctions, temporary restraining orders, as well as many other types of business disputes.

Mr. Duvel also devotes time in his practice to representing clients who have been injured in accidents or other misfortunes. He has significant experience handling matters involving serious and catastrophic injuries, including the representing of minors. He has obtained successful resolutions for his clients against a plethora of large and well-represented Defendants, including Ford Motor Company, Subaru of America, U-Haul, Hyatt Hotels, Los Angeles Unified School District, The County of Orange, The State of California, The State of Nevada, The Irvine Company, Procter & Gamble, SeaDoo, Inc., Bombardier Inc., National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), and Owens Corning, among others. During the course of his personal injury practice, he has asserted claims on behalf of his clients against parties represented by virtually every existent insurance company, including Allstate, Mercury, AAA, Farmers, State Farm, 21st Century, Geico, and Progressive, among others.

Speaking Engagements

Mr. Duvel has conducted multiple seminars and prepared extensive written materials on the topic of living trusts as well as other estate planning matters.  He also taught Wills & Trusts to students at Mt. Sac. College.

Activities

Mr. Duvel has been married over 25 years and has three children.  He coaches his children's AYSO soccer teams Little League Teams, and enjoys playing golf, tennis and other recreational sports.
